Badrul is a Scotland-based writer, publisher and digital content creator focusing on Scottish culture, arts, festivals, heritage, community and the people who shape Scotland's cultural life.

He has covered Edinburgh's Hogmanay since 2016 for Prothom Alo, Bangladesh's largest Bengali-language newspaper, and has been accredited media for the festival since 2018. He also covers the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Scotland's wider cultural and events scene.

Badrul previously worked at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, gaining first-hand experience of Scotland's history, collections and cultural heritage.
