Scottish Moithree is a Scotland-focused digital media and cultural platform sharing stories, experiences and perspectives from across Scotland.
We cover Scottish culture, arts, festivals, heritage, events, music, travel, communities and the people who make Scotland what it is through original articles, photography, video and digital storytelling.
Our Story
Scotland is full of stories — from historic places and cultural traditions to festivals, performances, community events and the people shaping contemporary Scottish life.
Scottish Moithree was created to discover and share these stories, bringing Scotland’s diverse cultural life to audiences in Scotland, across the UK and around the world.
Our name reflects our belief that culture connects people. We aim to celebrate Scotland’s heritage while highlighting its diverse communities, creativity and contemporary culture.

Our Founder
Badrul Hussain is a Scotland-based writer, publisher and digital content creator focusing on Scottish culture, arts, festivals, heritage and community.
He has covered Edinburgh’s Hogmanay since 2016 for Prothom Alo, Bangladesh’s largest Bengali-language newspaper, and has been accredited media for the festival since 2018. He also covers the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Scotland’s wider cultural and events scene.
Badrul previously worked at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, gaining first-hand experience of Scotland’s history, collections and cultural heritage.
Our Vision
Our aim is to develop Scottish Moithree into a recognised digital platform for Scottish culture, arts, heritage, events and community stories.
We believe good digital storytelling can document experiences, preserve memories, introduce new perspectives and connect communities.
If you’re an artist, performer, writer, event organiser, community organisation or simply have a story about Scotland to share, we’d love to hear from you.
